About APPG on Children's Online Safety

The APPG on Children's Online Safety is a cross-party group of MPs and Members of the House of Lords who work together to improve children's safety online.

The APPG on Children's Online Safety Secretariat

The secretariat is held by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), a charity that works in partnership with the internet industry, law enforcement and government to remove from the internet child sexual abuse (CSA) images and videos wherever they are hosted in the world and non-photographic images hosted in the UK.

The IWF supports the APPG on Children's Online Safety by providing resources and organising events, and providing ongoing support to APPG members.

Transparency

This is not an official website of Parliament. It has not been approved by either House. APPGs are informal groups of Parliamentarians with a common interest in particular issues. The views expressed are those of the group.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Children's Online Safety is committed to transparency. Upcoming and past events can be found here.

Without a doubt, technology has immense power to shape our society for the better. As innovation accelerates, we see this firsthand with advancements in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and other emerging technologies that are transforming the way we live, work, and connect. These developments hold incredible potential for good, but we must also remain vigilant about their risks, ensuring they are developed and used responsibly - especially to protect our children. We are proud to be taking on this vital role and will be bringing all our experience and expertise to bear as the new Secretariat of the APPG on Children's Online Safety.
